Embracing a New Season: From Homeschool to Parochial School

This week marks a profound shift for our family as we transition from homeschooling to parochial school. For a long time, our home has been our classroom, and the rhythm of our days was entirely our own. Closing this chapter brings a wave of mixed emotions. There is a quiet, natural grief in letting go of our intentional mornings and the unique privilege of being the primary witnesses to every "aha!" moment our children have had in our classroom. It is the end of a beautiful, challenging, and deeply formative era for us all.

At the same time, we are stepping into this new beginning with a lot of hope. Handing over the educational reins requires a leap of faith, but we are finding immense comfort in the community and shared values our new school offers. Beneath the nerves, there is genuine excitement bubbling up about new friendships, new mentors, and the fresh experiences waiting for them in a traditional classroom setting.

And so, we are moving forward with confidence that this is the right step for our family in this season. Change is rarely simple, and it is entirely possible to hold both grief for what is ending and joy for what is beginning. As we pack backpacks and lay out uniforms for next week, we are choosing to embrace this adventure, trusting that the foundation we built at home will serve them beautifully in their new classrooms.
