Unplugging and Reconnecting: Our Annual Trip to Catholic FamilyLand

We had an incredible time at Catholic FamilyLand (afc.org) again this summer, and our hearts are so full. It was exactly the reset our family needed—a beautiful chance to step away from the noise of daily life and truly reconnect with each other and our faith. The environment they provide makes it so nice to unplug, slow down, and just be present as a family in a community of shared values.
As an added bonus (and by far our favorite part of our time at CFL this year), 14 members of our extended family came with us! We thoroughly enjoyed the time with aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, and "out-laws." It was special for us to share a place with them that we have come to enjoy visiting each summer, and it was such a nice way to catch up and spend some time together since we no longer live within a few hours of each other. Some of my favorite memories of my childhood were summer visits with cousins, and it was such a sweet gift to see that same joy overflowing into the next generation.
We hope to do it again next summer and be even more intentional about making time for togetherness in the midst of a busy camp schedule!
